Chirag Shah, Founder and Chairman

Chirag is one of the founding players in the eSourcing movement. As early as 1998 he was involved in the development of A.T.Kearney’s eBreviate and has been instrumental in growing several other leading eSourcing companies since then. He has extensive experience in running businesses in USA, UK, China and continental Europe and has twice received accreditation from The Sunday Times TechTrack100, a league table of fastest growing technology companies as well as a “Best Companies To Work For” Award.

As Chairman of the Advisory Board, Chirag overseas the strategic plan for MarketMaker4 both in terms of setting the product development strategy and examining opportunities for business acceleration including acquisitions and licensing partnerships.

Chirag has a Distinction in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and an MBA from INSEAD. A serial entrepreneur, Chirag is also a Co-founder of The Ecurie Group, which owns and operates the écurie25 Supercar Club brand which has the largest network of luxury car clubs in the world.


Dave Bowen, Founder and CEO

An experienced business builder with more than 15 years of experience within the eSourcing, eAuction and strategic procurement industries. Dave oversees the company’s growth globally with a specific focus on channel partner and strategic client development. He is based in the company’s Chicago Headquarters and is a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

Prior to founding MarketMaker4, Dave held a variety of senior leadership roles at TradingPartners. During 2004-2010, Dave was instrumental in transforming TradingPartners from a team of less than 5 people in a single office to an organization of more than 100 employees and 4 offices around the US. During his tenure as Commercial Director and subsequently Managing Director of Atlanta, Dallas and New York offices, Dave was responsible for the acquisition of a majority of the firm’s strategic clients and led the organization to 6 consecutive years of rapid growth.

Dave previously held leadership positions at PST International (a global provider of reverse-logistics services to the IT and Consumer Electronics industries) and for uBid.com (a B2C provider of online auctions). Dave is a graduate of Wabash College and is based in the company’s Chicago office.


Alan Buxton, Founder and CTO

Alan is a Founder of MarketMaker4 and leads the software development and integration of third party systems that underpin the MarketMaker4 service. Prior to MarketMaker4, Alan was the Technology Director at Rated People, the UK’s largest trade recommendation website. At Rated People he professionalised the software delivery function to dramatically improve its development capacity during a time when the company’s revenues doubled and the company transitioned from a startup to a becoming a professionally-managed organisation.

Alan has also worked in a number of roles in the e-procurement and eSourcing space, including some of the earliest European Ariba implementations. He also ran teams which built bespoke dynamic online bidding systems and e-marketplaces. Prior to this he worked as a technical consultant and project manager on large-scale SAP implementations across Europe.

He has been an avid programmer since he first got his hands on a Commodore 64 as a kid in the 80s. Since gaining his MA in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge he has combined these two passions to deliver leading edge software systems with a real people focus. He is based in the UK office.


Michael Enright, CFO

Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA, 1977) who specialises in supporting early and mid-stage technology companies as both a Finance Director and international business development advisor. He has an outstanding track record of building companies, helping them raise capital, and conducting M&A activities. He has worked for various companies spanning both USA and UK markets.

Career highlights include: Finance Director and International Director of Quotient plc a London based provider of software and services to the international investment banking community - the business floated on the UK stock market and grew to revenues approaching $60m. Co-founder at Oasis Group plc - a mangement consultancy which was sold to Sybase Inc. Finance Director at MR Goup plc a UK provider of data management services. Finance Director at Dione Group plc - the business was subsequently bought by Lipman Electronic. Other Directorship roles include: TradingPartners – a leading provider of procurement services and auction technology, Bobs Guide - the UK's leading B2B portal for providers of Software and Services to the international financial community, Future Media Group - the largest independent provider of content management services to the Film and TV industry, Celtech Limited - a Dublin based provider of technology and services to European retail and wholesale customers.


Jill Ivancich, President, The Americas

Jill joined MarketMaker4 from the Supply Chain consultancy Gibson Consulting in August 2011. Jill is a seasoned senior business development and management executive with over 20 years proven track record in building and cultivating strategic client relationships, sales management, training, cost-containment and operational efficiencies. Her experience spans from medium to Fortune 500 companies in multiple industries including human resource outsourcing, strategic sourcing and procurement, consulting, advertising & media and franchising.

Jill has spent the past 5 years in Strategic Sourcing and eSourcing consultancies. She has experience building processes and training while overseeing Global accounts. She has also led business expansion plans into Japan and South America.

Jill has a BA in Communication from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and is a Certified Staffing Professional through the American Staffing Association. She is based at the company’s Chicago office.


Sarah Keats, Head of Operations, North America

Sarah joined MarketMaker4 from Capgemini where she worked as a Strategic Sourcing consultant. She has over 10 years experience as a consultant in the supply chain sector, with experience in a wide variety of sectors including Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Customer Services, Construction and Retail.

At MarketMaker4, Sarah is responsible for designing and overseeing North American client relationships. She works with client sponsors to develop tailored implementation programs that help clients make the transition from full service support to self sufficiency via a combination of training, workshops, and supervision. Sarah brings significant experience in procurement strategy and transformation, relationship management, contract negotiation, strategic planning & implementation and cost reduction/avoidance.

Sarah has a built a reputation for success by marshaling resources to drive performance measures for the operation of customers and companies. Sarah graduated from Eastern Michigan University where she studied Business Management and was a starter on the Varsity Volleyball team. She is based out of the Chicago office.


Gary Robinson, Head of Operations, UK

Gary joined MarketMaker4 in August 2011 from BravoSolution. He has been implementing eSourcing solutions since 2000, focusing on cost reduction and with involvement in Manufacturing, Retail and the UK Public Sector. He has considerable experience in sourcing and supply chain management working with major clients including Tesco, Cadbury, and Unipart. He has successfully led the development of eAuction within the UK Public Sector including running some of the first ever public sector eAuctions back in 2005. He has extensive experience working with major blue chip organizations in Retail, Manufacturing, Business Services and Financial sectors helping them embrace new processes and systems in order to achieve considerable sustainable savings in both direct and indirect spend areas.

Gary has also spent time in Shanghai leading a team rolling out eAuction and cost reduction programs in China for large global retail and manufacturing businesses. Gary has a BSc (hons) in Physics with electronics. He is based at the company’s UK office.
